About Olympia Swimming

Olympia Swimming is expertly run by Alan Gregson, a highly qualified swimming instructor with years of experience in providing safe and thorough swim lessons to children and adults of any skill level. All our lessons and instruction closely follow the high standards put in place by Swim Wales, with which we are proud to be affiliated.

Operating in North Wales, Alan is passionate about working with students to develop and hone a range of swimming skills and techniques. He is expertly trained in aquatic instruction, and holds a range of qualifications from the Amateur Swimming Association, the Institute of Swimming, the Royal Life Saving Society and the Swimming Teacher’s Association. Additionally, Alan and all other swimming teachers attend monthly refresher training courses to ensure they are up to date with the latest pool safety procedures and methods ​​​​​​​of instruction.

All eight of the swimming teachers Alan works with are extensively trained and highly qualified, and half are fluent in both English and Cymraeg. Each instructor has also undergone extensive Criminal Records Bureau/Disclosure and Barring Service checks, ensuring your children are in the safest hands at all times. Olympia Swimming is fully registered with Swim Wales and operates according to the highest health and safety standards.

About Olympia Swimming

Alan Gregson -- Teacher

Alan is expertly trained in aquatic instruction, and holds a range of qualifications from the Amateur Swimming Association, the Institute of Swimming, the Royal Life Saving Society, Professional Association Of Diving Instructors and the Swimming Teacher’s Association along with a level 2 diploma in active leisure for exercise professionals. Alan is passionate about working with students to develop and hone a range of swimming skills and techniques.

Sean Brame -- Teacher

Sean joins Olympia Swimming with a background of competitive swimming to National level. He is a talented ASA level 2 teacher & RLSS qualified lifeguard. Sean also teaches daily for Gwynedd Local Authority across North Wales. Sean is another bilingual teacher on our team.

Starr Sams -- Teacher

Starr has a number of years experience in teaching aquatics as well as being a keen scuba diver & swimmer, she is currently studying marine vertebrate zoology at Bangor University & really enjoys working with swimmers of all abilities with Olympia. Starr holds a range of qualifications from the STA & is a ASA level 2 Qualified Teacher.

Jessica Sutton -- Teacher

Jess is a highly qualified instructor with several years experience in teaching swimming across all ages. She has also instructed a huge variety of abilities from beginners to coaching competitive swimmers. Having competed herself as a swimmer at National Level she has a strong background knowledge of swimming & is passionate about the sport. Currently Jess is also studying Psychology & Linguistics at Bangor University & is an ASA Level 2 Qualified Teacher

Wesyn Dafydd -- Teacher

Cyn aelod o Glwb Nofio Bangor a Nofio Gwynedd ac wedi cystadlu ar lefel Cenedlaethol. Rwan yn fyfyriwr gradd BSc mewn Astudiaethau Chwaraeon ac Addysg Gorfforol Dwyieithog ym Mhrifysgol Metropolitan Caerdydd. Hefyd, yn dysgu nofio I blant yn y Brifysgol ac efo’r Urdd. A former member of Bangor Swimming Club and Swim Gwynedd having competed at national level. At present a BSc student in Bilingual Sport and Physical Education at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Also teaching children to swim in the University and for the Urdd. ASA Level 2 Teacher.

Cari Lloyd -- Teacher

Cari is an ASA level 2 Swimming Teacher aswell as having recently qualified as a School PE Teacher through Cardiff University & Loughborough University. Originally from Gwalchmai, Anglesey, Cari is another bilingual teacher who has recently joined our team

Kaylie Farrell -- Administration/Teaching Assistant

Kaylie has several years experience in customer services & has been with Olympia Swimming since day one. Kaylie is on hand to answer any administration queries you may have along with taking bookings & general information about the services we offer, for any queries call the office on 01407860872

Eloise Spencer-Wolfe -- Teaching Assistant

Eloise is an ASA Level 1 Swimming Teacher & also holds a National Rescue Award for teachers. Eloise has a keen interest in many sports especially swimming & has been working as a swimming teacher for over 4 years.

Dan Dyson -- Teaching Assistant

Im Dan, I am a level 1 ASA trained swimming teacher and I have been teaching for the past 2 years. As well as swimming I coach & love to play Hockey. I am study sociology & social sciences at Bangor University and im currently in my second year.
